PorouSLM is carried out in collaboration in a consortium between Turkish and Korean research teams and encourages to development a high-impact product for the biomedical industry and widen the impact of the project results through dissemination and exploitation activities.

Development of a Selective Laser Melting (SLM) Technology Platform for the Production and Characterization of Calcium Phosphate/PLGA Composite Coated Porous Titanium Mini Plates for Maxillofacial, Hand and Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) Surgery

Aim of the Project

PorouSLM project is to design and produce commercial pure titanium gyroid porous mini plates by selective laser melting technology which can be used in maxillofacial, hand and ENT surgeries to improve the current solid plates made by machining in terms of approaching the mechanical properties of the plates to the ones of the bone as well as the biocompatibility.

This study has been funded by the cooperation of TUBITAK-Turkey and National Research Foundation of Korea under grant agreement TUBITAK No 120N943 and NRF No 2020K2A9A1A06108513.
